Yom Hazikaron , Israel 's Memorial Day is when the entire nation remembers its debt and expresses eternal gratitude to its sons and daughters who gave their lives for the achievement of the country's independence and its continued existence. It is a day of collective and personal anguish mingled with awe and honour for the fallen.

Yom Hazikaron, Memorial Day for Israel 's fallen, will be commemorated on Tuesday May 10 at the Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University (Clayton). This moving and appropriate tribute to those who gave their lives for the establishment and defence of our state, and for victims of terror, is one which all of us who care for Israel must be part of. Pre-allocated, reserved seats are available at a nominal cost by contacting (03) 9272 5555, or general admission on the night (doors will open at 7.15pm ) is free of charge.
