Will the Centre Hold? The uncertain future of Australian Jewish Identity
In our recent edited collection, New Under the Sun: Jewish Australians on Religion,
Politics and Culture (Black Inc, 2006), we suggested that mainstream `traditional'
Australian Jewish identity faces a tremendous challenge in the coming years.
Three contributors to the book, Rabbi Ralph Genende, Rabbi Elisha Greenbaum
and Julie Szego will join us and the President of the Jewish Museum of Australia,
Charles Justin, to discuss some of the crucial issues facing contemporary Australian
Jews.
