Paradise Now: Jewish reflections on martyrdom

To most modern Westerners, sacrificing one's life in the name of religion is a strange and foolish act. When martyrdom becomes a political weapon, as it has in our world today, the phenomenon becomes still more alien and even vile. But these questions hark back to older traditions, including Jewish and Christian traditions of martyrdom. Join us, and guest Dr Mark Baker, in exploring one of the most volatile of contemporary issues from the perspective and wisdom of tradition.
