Since the outbreak of violence in October 2000, doctors and nurses at the Hadassah Medical Organisation have lived with their beepers and cell phones at the ready to promptly respond to the scores of terrorist attacks that have torn at the heart of Jerusalem. They have treated more than 2300 victims of mass casualty. They have had to repair bodies and minds. And all this at the same time as maintaining the operations and highest of standards for the regular operations of Jerusalem's largest medical facility servicing it's 700,000 residents.

In the course of this experience many lessons have been learned in both the medical and psychological fields. Some of these stories can now be told.
